Weather for Bermuda Day festivities has remained fairly unchanged from the rest of the week; mostly sunny, pleasant weather. High temperatures ranged from around 75-80F under partly cloudy skies while a southerly breeze at 15-20mph has set up. This is all ahead of a cold front that is slowly approaching the island from the west and should impact the us tomorrow.
Indeed the Bermuda Azores high made its appearance for much of the work week, but now has begun to retreat towards the east; just enough to allow this cold front in to the area. Expect showery rain, and a small chance for thunderstorms starting Saturday afternoon. This should bring welcome rain to the island – after being under the influence of high pressure for so long, we have dipped below year-to-date precipitation averages.
