Behind last weekend’s cold front, high pressure did indeed build in bringing more settled weather when compared to the steady rain associated with the front itself. However, convergence associated with troughiness that lingered as the front stalled to our southeast kept strong and gusty easterly winds with light to moderate showers in place for much of the week. A second frontal boundary is approaching from the west tonight, convergence ahead of this front is already bringing showers to Bermuda. However, showers are again possible as the front passes Friday evening into Friday night. Strong winds are likely to follow the passage of this front, but it looks like high pressure will not bas as contaminated with convergent showers behind this front as compared to the last front. That being said, isolated post-frontal showers are still possible before high pressure centers itself more over Bermuda for the end of the weekend. As this happens, expect fair skies with light winds that may become variable at times.
